College scholarships awarded as part of nationwide safe driving program with Discovery Education

Toyota and Discovery Education announced today the ten high school student winners of the 2011 Toyota Teen Driver Sweepstakes. Teenagers across the country were eligible to participate in the sweepstakes after playing an interactive road challenge game, Heads Up!, designed to promote safe driving habits. U.S. Clears Toyota's Electronic Systems - Finds No Evidence of Flaws

The following comes from Toyota's statement on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and NASA report concerning alleged unintended acceleration in Toyota vehicles:

1. Transportation Secretary LaHood: "no electronic-based cause for unintended high-speed acceleration in Toyotas. Period."
